The highlights and lowlights of the weekend
Early morning of Sunday October 18th 2026
Location: the bus to Rudolf Steiner House
What’s in my ears: Stephen Wilson Jr. (Prep for Thursday’s gig)
It’s been a while. I’ve broken up with my mom, I know I’ve said this many times. What did Einstein say again, Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Well folks, that applies to one’s biological mother too. I’ve tried so many times, each time putting myself in harms way. Enough is enough. Next week my mom will be in the UK for a week or 2, and I won’t be seeing her.
Yesterday (Saturday the 18th) was a big day. It was the 25th anniversary conference for The Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (ARH). This is who I will be register with in 3 years time. I start my training to become a homeopath next week, and I registered for this conference over 6 months ago. I went into it thinking I would barely grasp a thing, however I wanted to be submerged with my people. People who have chosen this a way of life, a profession, a calling etc. I met some of my people for sure. We were all so different but the same too.
The ladies / Homeopaths at my conference table were all so nice. I feel that we all warmed to each other. I was the youngest of the bunch and I’m old. Each of them felt very special, 2 of whom have published books in Homeopathy. The last that sat right next to me also makes products with herbs and flowers. She’s also fluent in 3 languages. Somehow I ended up helping her with her iPhone and one of her instagram accounts. She’s based in Cambridge but she really wants to meet up with me. It’s quite nice to be wanted, liked, appreciated.
The keynote speaker was a 72 year old homeopath who has been practicing for 45 years. She’s from the Netherlands. Here is poem that she shared with us.
The Gift of our Great Mother (The Circle of love)
Know I am your mother.
You are my child.
I am the universal love.
I am always around.
You are always surrounded by me.
I have always been with you from the beginning.
All your life comes from my womb, and is born into love.
It is through me you are conceived and grown into my womb.
The mother cookie is nurturing you, surrounded by love of the ostrogen.
Supported by the fruit-water
and connected with the umbilical cord.
Expelled with the help of oxytocin, protected by the vernix, and nurtured by the milk.
Your blood will recreate you.
Through me you can be on this earth.
To learn to love, to seek me out.
You find me inside yourself.
I will be in your heart.
Yours and mine will be as one throughout eternity.
You are not alone.
I love you.
You always will be under my protection
Anything you need is inside of you.
You can always ask me.
Poem by Alize Timmerman, written on 10 March 2025
You might not be into this style of poetry etc, however the words are big. Especially for someone like me who has a big mother wound. I’m not even picking at this wound anymore, questioning it etc. Now it’s a simple observation of what motherhood should be. Knowing that I got something completely different justifies my current decisions. That’s it, that’s all.
From a Homeopathic point of view, Alize went into remedies that have had a profound difference in people’s life. I was blown away.
During the day, I also found out that she is doing a whole day talk on Sunday. Guess who blagged herself a free ticket. (£95)That would be moi. It’s where I’m heading.
Side note, the last time I was in Rudolf Steiner House was with ‘the Leo’ on March 5th 2025. He’s long gone, though I do wonder why the universe is bringing me back to the same building? He has popped into my mind recently but that’s mostly because he and my mother have very similar manipulative tendencies.
Another side note. I’ve been researching Rudolf Steiner schools for years. If I have children, I would either homeschool them or send them to a Steiner school.
One the way home on Saturday evening I was completely brain dead fried. This is because I find the vast majority of it interesting which is good. Normally large parts of my mind are not fed. This probably explains scrolling. It’s food for the brain, but really it’s junk food that’s killing me.
Anyways, I’m on the bus heading home, last leg of my journey. A granddaughter, mother and toddler child sit together. Daughter gets off first with the push chair / stroller. Grandma is next with the sleeping baby in her arms. I then notice a black wallet on the chair. I see it laser fast, but I can form words. Not even sounds, I couldn’t even say Hey! So I tap grandma on the shoulder, slightly startle her and point to the wallet. She then clocked its quick, grabbed it, rushed off the bus and said Thank you. My this point, brain π§ pistons were firing again and I said sure. π
When the bus doors were closed but not in motion yet. Both mother and grandmother were beaming π great big smiles and giving me the thank you hand. π€ it’s more like a stop had vs a wave but I totally get it. I then gave the hand back and smiled. My good deed of the day was done. Somewhere inside, I know this family is sending me good vibes, thoughts and prayers.
Now for Sunday October 18th 2026
I started my day with a streamline commute to the venue that included a walk along Regents Park. I love London so much. I have no idea what my future hold but my love for this city has never faltered.
Alize was so amazing and I want to tell you everything but at the same time it feels so special that I want to keep it sacred and all to myself. We were a small group so there was lots of interaction. I even spoke a little. Mindful that I was the only person amongst 20 of us who is not an experienced qualified practicing Homeopath.
However what I said was relevant and well received.
Time to rap this entry up with something that’s is still blowing my mind and causing me sleepless nights.
Towards the end, when I was saying goodbye to the group. 2 homeopath friends came up to me and said, “Oh, we were just taking about you, you’re going to be great. We already know this but how you’re taking it all in.”
I feel so humbled. The principal of the school was also present over both days. She even said how she feels lucky to have me and how I’ll keep her in line.
Folks! I’m bossy, smart and fast. This is equally good and bad. I’m working on it. It’s slow. Pay enough attention and you’ll notice these qualities in my quickly.
